Not to argue something stupid here, but IMO brakes are a "serious" part!

I went thru three in about as many weeks on my firebird... the center contact would break, and the car would simply stop running. After the third one, I bought a nice Accel cap, and never had another problem.

This could be the reason my truck just died on my lastnight on the way to work, while I was sitting at a stoplight it all of a sudden just died and it took about 5 mins to start back, I kept trying to start it and it would start sputter and die within 2 secs, finially got it started and made it to work with 5 mins to spare, usually there 15 mins early, sorta made me think that it was my fuel filter or fuel pump cause my dads 95 dakota died on him like that one time and it was his fuel pump that had went out.....is it a chance that it could be my dist./rotor making it run rough? I still have my old one I can switch back too

Did it run better with the old one?

I just went to the parts store, and got an Accell brass terminal cap, and matching rotor. Never had a problem again.

I'm with Justin, I use Duralast and will continue to until given a reason not to. I've never had any issues and I've bought a ton of Duralast stuff, from brakes to emission sensors, switches, tune up parts, etc. Just like every other manufacturer of any other thing made on this planet, there are bound to be some bad ones here and there all the time.

They can't suck that bad because they are still in business.

Well I changed the coil then the cap and rotor (before I figured out I had fried my computer thanks to the help on this forum) but I figured since the truck is starting it wasn't the coil so I switched back to the old one, in the process of taking the new one off I noticed that the screw on the passenger side wasn't tight that may had something to do with it maybe..but I had done unhooked all the wires and was changing it anyway. Keep your fingers crossed...
