Default Wheel studs

Hi there, Just to confirm prior to ordering (delivery lead time to my place is a pain)... are these studs/nuts the right ones to mount the original 16" wheels on my 1999 2500?

wheel studs / wheel nuts

Whats with the retainer ring mentioned on Rockauto to fix the hubcap? I thought they are kept in place by the wheel nuts.

Its these wheels: http://thumbsnap.com/zw8wFaWn

Not sure about stud/nut size... but, the 'hubcaps' are held on by a thin metal retainer, that kind 'snaps' onto a raised ridge on the lug nuts. Put your wheel on, torque the lugs, then knock the hubcap on with a rubber mallet.

Just make sure they are on good..... I lost one of mine, but, my grandson later found it down the road a ways. (I had the tire shop fix a leaky tire, apparently, they didn't put it back on securely.)
