Default Best Aftermarket Exhaust

Ok, so I officially have no exhaust system after my catalytic converter, it's all gone. What's a good cat-back system to go on? Are the aluminized kits alright? Or should I go with Stainless Steel? I'm leaning towards the Stainless Steel. I know that most guys here run FlowMaster 40 mufflers, but the kits I look at online have FlowMaster 50s. Any big differences? I want something with a nice sound, not going to rust, and will not kill my torque by opening my exhause too much. I've got stock exhaust manifolds (for now, maybe shorties in the future), a Magnaflow Catback. Any suggestions?

Flownasters sound good. That's what I hav a super 40. But they rmcreate that sounds through baffles. Which is not super performance minded. In fact many would argue it's limiting. And it is. But these aren't racing motors. It's drones like a bad word sometimes.

Magnaflows sounds good too. Quieter when not at wot in ny experience

Magnaflo FTW! If you like drone, then go with the flowcrapster.

Ok, thanks!

Sounds like Magnaflow might be the way for me. Found this kit, think I'll go with it. Found this kit: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=4779 for $491. Sounds like a winner to me.

You could probably get almost the same thing made up at a local exhaust shop for less money. When I got my exhaust redone, it was $290 for a high flow cat, magnaflow muffler and single side exit pipe with a 4" tip. I believe it was aluminized. But if you already have a cat, thats already $90 off of my price. So then going with stainless would probably bring it up to maybe $400 at worst. Now if for some reason you were opposed to going to a shop or just wanted to do it yourself, that magnaflow kit would definitely be a great option.

I got my SS Magnaflow components separately from Amazon.
#12279 $104
#15035 $57
#35107 $41
Total of $202 w/free shipping.

Pacesetter LT's and Y-pipe up front, with 3" Magnaflow to a 4" tip on the back end.

And it doesn't drone on the hwy.

[Edit]
OMG, I'm feeling ripped off now
Just checked Amazon, and they're cheaper than when I bought earlier in the year.
12279 Muffler 12279 Muffler
$69.71
15035 Tailpipe 15035 Tailpipe
$48.45
35107 Tip 35107 Tip
$34.77
Total $152.93

If you could I'd like to request picture of your Y-pipe. Never seen one especially installed. Would like an idea on proximity to stuff.

Thanks and no rush if possible.

Take a look at these;
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/members...w-3-20459.html

I had to cut a lug off the side of the transfercase, and have front driveshaft interference under heavy acceleration at low speed.
To fix this I have engine mount inserts to lessen engine movement, but haven't installed them yet... if this doesn't fix the issue, I'll have to try clocking the transfercase.
2WD will not have either problem.
