Hey guys I'm new to the forums so what's up. I have a 2WD Red 2000 Ram 1500 with a 5.9. It is currently stock besides the aftermarket black headlights. What mods would you reccomend (lift, exhaust, intake, programmer, etc.)
P.S. The biggest lift I will do is 3-3.5 inches and the Plenum IS o.k.

 

Well, I'd start with a good tune up, make sure everything is up to spec first. Do you still have the original timing chain? If so, swap it out for a good double roller. You'll notice an improvement when you take the slack out of the chain. If you do the timing chain, that would be an ideal time to swap in a new camshaft, and a better intake.

The y-pipe with the catalytic converter is very restrictive on these trucks. Swapping it out with a magnaflow direct fit Cat would replace the restrictive pipe and stock catalytic converter. That's the worst part of our exhaust systems. Be sure to put in new O2 sensors too.

If you do a camshaft, and if your plenum and timing chain is good, then I'd do a programmer. Sean at HemiFever does a good job.
