Default It all started with a 2nd Gen...

Well, sixteen years ago I left the Furd and Cheby world and bought myself a brand-spanking new 1998 RCSB 5.9 Magnum 4x4. Lifted it, did true duals and pretty much left it stock.
Six years later I traded it in on a brand-spanking new 3rd Gen 2004 QCSB Hemi 4x4 which I modded the hell out of.
Flash forward 10 years later and I sold "Big Red" and am now enjoying a 4th Gen Ram - 2014 CCSB CTD 4x4.

Just a few pics from memory lane, LOL...

and now the new ride:

Nice new ride! What are you going to do to this one, and what made you get a diesel?

I had a diesel furd in the early 90s, kinda always wanted another one. As I'm getting older, I've been keepin my trucks a lot longer. Six years with the 2nd gen, almost 11 years with the 3rd gen. I'm 50 now and am kinda hoping this may be my last truck. With a Cummins, I am looking for 15-20 years out of this one.
As far as mods go, not much I need to do to a 800lb./ft. powerplant, plus I bought a 120 month/120,000 bumper to bumper on this (first time I ever bought an extended warranty). So power adders are pretty much out. Short term a set of nerfs so I can get in the damn thing and a simple level. Probably in the next year or two a winch bumper is in the plans...

^^Nice rides to both of you. Just got a call from the wife with her Hemi involved in a fender bender (scuffed her chrome Ram tag). A Kroger parking lot in NC. K.

Edit..............Well, a ticket to wrestle with. She was talking on the cell.

now see if you started with a diesel to begin with in that 2nd gen...you woulda kept it forever!

Least you hold on to them longer than my old man does...

he buys a truck, mods it, trades it in two years later on another truck...mods it, trades it in again 2 more years later on another truck he has been consistent though: they have all been diesels. duracraps, power jokes, and cummins. No gassers.

anyway: looks good hammer! hopefully that truck will treat you good for years to come!
