Hi all

What was the first extended cab diesel truck produced?

What is the difference between a 2WD and a 4WD trans? Can i use a 2WD trans if i change the tailshaft to bolt up to the transfer case?

thanks.

Have to change the output shaft of the trans as well, for a 2wd trans to work with a t-case.

No clue about the truck....

For the Second Gen, the extended cab diesels debuted in late-1995 as a 1996 model year. My [then] wife and I were sent home with one from the dealer for a week while the finance department tried to put us in that vehicle. It was a super nice truck with a rare granny-gear option.

The dealer was pissed when I brought it back with 800 miles on the odometer!

^I love my quad cab space with the bench flipped up so much, just so I can cram more stuff, tools, groceries, in there. If I ever rolled one over, I'm sure the projectiles would get me before any impact would. LOL.................K.
