Took the truck in for inspection, did better then I thought, failed for exhaust (no catalytic converter and leak) and my lights on the brush guard won't pass.

So the truck will get some degree of a new exhaust next week.

 

The annual inspection is always interesting for these old brutes.

 

In Deep SWVA they don't care about too much besides the usual and ball joints (only once have I NOT had to get new joints).

They could care less about the catalytic converter and off road lights...

Oh well, I'm guessing around $400 (with new cat) depending on how much exhaust work needs to be done.

In all honesty I was expecting to need new ball joints and/or driver front wheel bearing plus exhaust, which would have sucked $$$ wise...

In other news we get a new single from Breaking Benjamin on Monday and new album out in June I think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else here into Breaking Benjamin?

I loved living in SWGA, no inspections there either! It was great

Luckily while they do visual inspections here in Fredericksburg they don't do emissions testing like the other NOVA counties....

 

^Stewie, I broke a Benjamin yesterday........so with the change I'll get a left rear brake light/turn signal for the 98. K.

 

Took the truck to the shop, exhaust getting worked on tomorrow....

 

The only Benjamin I know how to break is a $100 bill. I prefer not to break those.

 

Breaking Benjamin is just annoying 'plastic' metal to my ears, can do without them,..

 

Seems like I can't catch a break.

Drove the 35 miles to work this morning and smelt antifreeze, turned truck off and she was smoking from under the hood and temp was raised a bit.

Well found the radiator cap was cold to the touch, antifreeze puddle under the AC pump as well.

I'm thinking the water pump gave up.
