Since I'm going to 8 lug I've been looking for some new alloy wheels. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options. Any recommendations on black, chrome, or both? And what to avoid so it doesn't look like a brodozer i.e. KMC rockstars.

This is not your basic truck we're talking about here, I've got an automatic transmission!

Snow,
A lot depends on how much you want to spend and what look you're going for.
I'll tell you from my experience you don't want chrome rims because the crap they put on the roads during the winter pitts and eats the finish off the rims. The second thing is that chrome gets dirty real fast and looks like crap. Where with black rims they stay clean longer plus they look good even when they are dirty.

basic black rims can be touched up with a 5 dollar can of spray paint. indefinitely.

screw your auto man.... hey dude. I finally my parts list and part number for manual swap. You want the numbers?

Wildman, good point on the chrome. I have seen a few around with that problem. I think I'll stick to black and a cool machined aluminum finish I see some have.

Hambone, that would be cool. I have decided to keep the auto for awhile longer since I'm doing the 1 tons first. I can't stand that open rear end and I'm not 100% I want to do the swap yet.

Be careful about how much machined aluminum you have also because it will pitt also and turn out looking like crap.

Just enough to accent the rim. My rims still look good after this winter but it was a easy winter too so there wasn't much crap put down on the roads.

I should have known the salt will ruin that too haha. Your wheels look good. Do the center caps come with the wheels or do you buy them separately?

WK,
I don't know why they aren't working but I am going to try reloading them and see what happens.
