Have a 01 ram Laramie xlt 4x4. Extended cab? passenger side back extended door jammed closed. Got access to inside and upper and lower rods were attached to handle. took them off and tried to release door by hand and they did not budge. Any ideas what is the problem and how to get the door open? Thanks.

 

See if you can take the trim panel off from inside. (might have to remove the back seat.) Then, hit the latches with chemicals. Bottom one is easy, top one.... not so much. Could probably just spray it in wherever you can on that one though, gravity is on your side. (can you SEE the latches with the door closed? If you don't need to disassemble, don't. I don't have the rear doors, so, no idea on that.)

Did you try pushing in on the door with your body while trying to open it?
