The Official 2nd Gen Ram OT Thread
I used VHT Engine Paint.
I agree with the others, don't paint cast aluminum, it did't hold up. The block and valve covers, heads, and oil pan held up fine. Don't take my word for it though, I sold the truck about 8 months after I put the engine back in.

Plenty of room. Seats 8.
There's 2 seats to spare and the kids still argue about who sits in back.
The 5.4L V8 is quite nice too! Think it has a 28G tank, took $34 to fill up from around 1/8 tank, so, I suspect it'll be similar mpg's to the Ram, maybe 1 or 2 better.

You could have an 88 passenger bus, and the kids would STILL argue over seating arrangements.
Just the way it goes.
And on a totally unrelated note: Almost 60 when I got up this morning.... and now.... it's snowing......
Welcome to Michigan.

Out thisaway it's -9 at the moment (1AM) and with no clouds coming it's going to dip a bit more before sunrise. Ain't no thang, really, but the weather prognosticators forecast an overnight low of 8 degrees on the other side of zero. I don't know why they even bother repeating what their bogus models tell them.
They do better all over the spectrum. With the 1.92 valves its more a low-mid range head. The 2.02s flow quite a bit more at higher lifts.
