Love the Cummins but the noise gets a bit much some mornings, and listening to decent music is out of the question.
Have a good hood liner and carpets on the floor, but wondering about what other steps to take to quiet things down , without retarding the timing )
Considering exhaust wrap, filling up the shifter boot with foam, and doubling the floor liner but wonder what youz guyz have done that actually makes a difference

Man, the sound of the 24v is the best music in the world. I would just rip out the radio and silencer ring and hum along!
But yeah, try doing a carpet r and r. You can get sound mats pretty far up the firewall inside and down the floor. Then behind the engine get as much on that side as possible. Or trade for a 3rd or 4th gen. Can't even tell they're running (booo).
