Check the connector for the one-wire sensor. Make sure it has a good connection, and make sure the sensor grounds to the manifold good.

You can pick up an Infra-Red temp sensor (little gun like feller) and point it at the top of the thermostat housing, to see what temp it REALLY is.

I'll try removing the sensor and getting the sealant off . makes me wonder what the other sensor is telling the PCM though.
It hasn't thrown any codes yet and seems to be running ok .

The other sensor is two-wire, it just modifies a signal from the PCM, so, that one is prolly working as it should.

Well , It finally threw a code #1 miss fire.
All ignition parts are brand new, changed them while I had the intake off.
When I pulled the old plugs #1 was in awful shape like half of the ground electrode had been eaten away.
Gona do a comp.test after the engine cools off for a minute. But I'm starting to think its time to shop for a set of heads (cause if I'm changing the gasket I'm not putting the old ones back on) Sigh.

Odessa, or Clearwater make NEW heads, that are better castings than stock. They are regularly for sale on Ebay.

Now do a wet test. Put a tablespoon of oil into each cylinder, and test again. See what the numbers do.
