#SinisterScarlet Build

Haha thanks. Building is always fun.
Haven't had the chance to get out for a while. Between work, family, and multiple projects hasn't left time to get out and actually play with anything.
Plus, all the fun trails have been closed due to snow, groups have just recently started going back out again.
There's a couple runs this weekend, but we've got multiple projects going at the shop right now in prep for the Roadster Show next weekend, so I highly doubt I'll make it out. Once everything slows during the Spring to Summer transition, I should have the free time to actually take a day for myself and go out.
The wife and I have already started planning some Summer trips with the Dodge, so some long distance overlanding trips are in the works right now. Just got get the truck finished up and dialed in first

So I got the bed rack started over the weekend. Today I'm going to try to remount the basket, the rails I have are currently mounted to the top of the Lightning Rack's, and I wanna switch them so they come down underneath to lower the basket and inch and a half. Just need to find some square tube scrap lying around to use as a spacer between the top of the rack and the bottom.
But, it's on, it's sturdy, and it looks decent for right now. I'll update again later once i get the rack lowered and the racks positioned correctly. Here's some process photo's for now
I've also found a way to temporarily mount my awning until I can figure something else out. In the meantime, I don't want to drill any more non-necessary holes, so I'm going to utilize a hole in the crossover of the racks. There's a third hole in the middle that I'm assuming is for some small lights for side lighting or something. My awning has a slide channel for the bolts to slide into, making them adjustable length wise for any and all mounting adjustments. For now, I'm going to get some longer bolts, slide them into the channel, then bolt it on using the hole already there. This will get it mounted to the truck, but still be removable for the future when I figure something else out. At least with it there, I can still take the truck out on trips and have it functional.

Some more progress on the rack. Got everything that was originally on my old setup reinstalled in their new homes. Gotta find a spot for my shovel, then fabricate some mounts for these two items. Gonna install my TredPro's on the underside of the rack next to the RotoPax, then I'm gonna put a chainsaw on the passenger side of the trail rack, mirroring the land anchor.
But for now, it's looking good! Decided to lower the basket down some, which definitely helped the look a lot more! Ignore the factory tail lights, circuit board in my Spyder driver side tail light fried, socket came out of the back and it filled up with water. Gonna order another set here soon.
