I found some HR videos on the tube. Then I went to their site thinking I could just order what they recommend for replacement LED bulb and harness. Guess what? Clicked on Dodge Ram, clicked on 99-01 (only years for some reason), and "no products found." Apparently, they don't sell anything for our trucks.

Jump to 3rd gen ram as they use the same bulb

No, they don't. 3rd gen uses 9007, 2nd uses 9004. Plus none of the options on their website even mention the bulb number.

Put sport headlights in it. They have a 9007 and a 9004 bulb. Get a wiring kit from Daniel Stern Lighting.
  • KIT-RIKRAM kit to properly install improved Dodge Ram Sport
twin-bulb headlamps in place of standard 1994-2002 one-bulb lamps: $109
  • HARN-RIKRAM custom-built harness: $189

My 05 uses a 9004. What brand were you looking at I'll ask my vendors and see if they sell it.

Well, I looked up 03, 04, and 05 Dodge Ram headlight bulb at Napa and all they list is 9007. All that is listed for 2nd gens is 9004 so I don't know.

Not gonna switch to sport headlights. I just bought and installed brand new housings and bulbs. My truck isn't a Sport and would look weird to me with the wrong housings.

What brand LED? I haven't a clue. At this point I'm just learning about it. LEDs in my experience are great for the house but not great for anything else. Hated them as cab lights and returned them. I do have some as driving lights in my bumper and they suck. The old bulbs were much better. So who knows.

I have LED can lights and like them. I have LED low beam bulbs but they aren't as bright as HID (HID is high and low). I will say they may be 10% brighter then stock bulbs. I used 9004 in my 05. I'm almost sure that the 9004 and 9007 are the same size base just pinouts are different. I can post some pictures of my HID setup if you were interested in them, but I think you said that's too much wiring for you.

Nah, not too much for me, just too much in general. Lots of wires, harnesses, etc. to hang or mount inside. Probably not go HID since I'd also have to switch housings to projectors so that's why I'm trying to find a plug and play LED bulb/driver kit. I'm gonna run these new hellas for awhile though.
