Default new guy.

So i've just found this forum. Have a '00 Ram 1500 RWD, 318/auto. 232k miles, still runs like a top.

Rear axle pinion gear is howling like crazy, so i started googling some info and found Dodge Forum.

So far, I've learned a few things:

1) I've got the death flash
2) my plenum needs to be replaced
3) I'm gonna do an e-fan mod when i've got the engine torn down for the plenum.

I'be been working on Mopar small blocks since i was about 12. Specifically 318s. First auto work i remember was changing out a stuck lifter in our B150 conversion van as a kid. Was building 360 for a '69 Dart in high school, but sold it when i left for college. My '85 Ramcharger spun a bearing my senior year of college and i re-built it.

Sold the RamCharger a few years back and picked up this '00 1500.

Glad to have found the info here... have a feeling my wallet will regret it, but looking forward to digging into some of the above repairs. After I get my rear axle rebuilt.

Let me add my welcome to the site.
There is plenty of sage advise from the locals here.
We also make a decent sounding board when you're faultfinding (if needed).
