cleaning trans and tcase

Default cleaning trans and tcase

whats everyone suggestions on cleaning up these items the were pulled and have been sitting before i install would like to clean all the dirt and crap off of them but not sure about just spraying them down with water dont want it to get into the inside of the cases by spraying them down the tail shafts are pretty dirty

T-case vent is on top, shouldn't be too hard to plug that. Trans vent is behind the torque converter, don't spray there. Also try not to spray water INTO the tailshaft housing. Scrub brush, and your favorite degreaser.

how would you suggest cleaning the tailshaf sections

Wrap them in something, to keep the water/solvent out. Duct tape, and plastic? Don't use a high-pressure washer though..... or, if you do, stay at a good range.
