Default 98 Ram Trans questions

So I have a 98 1500, 5.9 4x4 that dead, short in wiring harness I do believe (battery is now dead even though its been sitting for 2 months)I swapped everything everybody suggested to no avail. So I bought a 98 2500, 5.9 4x4 that had some brake and trans lines issues, didn't know if trans was bad or not so I took a shot, well got the lines all fixed and here is the weirdness, when its cold as in just started it seems to be ok-ish, still don't know if it shifts properly though, but when it gets hot or normal temp and I shift into reverse it kill the engine, if I rev force it, man I thing the engine is going to blow up! it knocks sputters and shakes, still moves but it isn't good. It doesn't seem to want to stall as bad when in drive but still does but doesn't upset the engine like reverse. So are the bands way out of adjustment? is there a solenoid not working, something plugged? or is it just junk?

Second question, will the 1500 trans swap with the 2500?

Transmissions are likely exactly the same. In fact, I bet the only differences in the two trucks are from the transfer case, out to the wheels. Everything else, there won't be any differences.

When you put the truck into reverse, does it feel like you are dumping the clutch on a manual trans truck? Or does the engine just decide it doesn't wanna run any more?

Possible bad crank sensor. Or, a wiring issue somewhere..... when the motor moves, it breaks a contact, or pulls a wire somewhere.....

Update, so I took the truck for a test drive last night (it was cold so I gave it a try) seemed to shift fine although it shifted at about 3K rpm, a little high but maybe it has a shift kit. Anybody else think that to high rpm or is that normal for a 2500? Once it warmed up, it started doing same thing stalling out when shifted into reverse but when cold as in just started its fine? Any ideas? adjust bands, new filter never park where I have to back up?

Unless you are leaning pretty hard on the gas, or pulling something heavy.... it should never hit 3K before it shifts. Think I would check TV cable adjustment, make sure it is correct, and working properly.
