I think they'd go broke if this was common because those have a 5 year 50k warranty on construction.... go get your new one!

Thanks for the reply. I just don't understand why it would rattle so quickly I only put about 2500 miles on it. Any thoughts? I confirmed it was rattling.
I I smacked it with my hand and you could hear it rattle inside.

Or something came loose in front of it and it stopped in the cat... either way, you gotta cut those off to see what is going on. Unless, you have a way to get one of those usb endoscope cameras in there. I have this one, works pretty good.

Thanks for information. Monday im going to the shop to see if they will honor their work and weld in a new one. Whats your thoughts on eliminating the cat with a piece of pipe ? Would this rob me of low-end torque?

If you lose anything, you won't notice it. If the cat is plugged up, then you will actually gain power.

The cat is a restriction in the exhaust. removing it should actually ADD power, not reduce it.

A shop won’t remove it for you. That’s illegal. You would have to cut it off yourself and then take it to have a pipe welded in. Or just buy a piece of pipe and a couple of pipe clamps and do it yourself. Then you have inspections to deal with, provided you have them.

Thanks for the info but the shop I take it too doesn't care. Cash is highly perfered at said shop. They should give me a new highflow since the one they put on is only 5 months old with 2000-3000 miles on it.

Use the warranty supplied by the manufacturer.
