Hey yall I have a 96 2500 v 10 long bed,
I'm looking to put a 5th wheel hitch on and am looking for custom brackets to bolt the rails on with to save my self some drilling. But I'm having a hell of a time finding them for the 96 specifically. Does the second-gen of 2500 use the same frame for all the years? Does anyone have brackets they have put on theirs they can point me to that work? Ill use the universal ones if I have to but would rather not.

All the frames are the same. No whether they are using existing holes the later trucks have I don't know

 

Ok well now I just spent an hour or two and am pretty positive none of the custom brackets are made for the 2nd generation trucks. I'm wondering if some of the 3rd generation ones will work if they are using the u bolts or things like that but ya nothing custom says its for the second generation. I'm also wondering if this is just because they didn't want to rate things for that old of trucks or something?
