Bringing this one back to the top. I'm getting a slight grind in the column when I turn the wheel, so I'm guessing it's the top bearing. The parts manual doesn't break the column down to individual parts, just saying the column is replaced as a unit. Our trucks are getting old enough that I'm worried any used column is going to have the same issues. I did find a bearing on ebay listed as the top bearing for Rams and some Superduty Fords. MoparFanatic21, does this look like what you've found in the columns you've taken a part?

Ebay column bearing

How much of a pita is it to get at it?

That's the bearing! Wasnt hard at all. I give it a 2 or 3 out of 10 as it's hard not to get your seat or carpet dirty lol

Thanks. I'll order one.

It looks like I just need to pull the wheel and the bearing is just behind it. I guess this is a big issue with the Fords. There's a ton of videos on the youtube showing how to repair them, but nothing on Rams.

How did you get the bearing out in your column? There are 2 slots I can get a seal puller behind, but the bearing appears to be pressed in and the aluminum stamped around it.
