Default A thought

I had a thought. (Really!) I've pulled the emblems off my '96 Ram 1500 4X4 to paint it. I'm thinking of pulling a couple of V6 emblems off in the bone yard and put THOSE on when I get done. I wonder how many folks I can mess with like that?

I ran a Hemi emblem before starting my swap and so many people asked if it actually does have the Hemi lol

I had a 1954 Coronet with the 241 Red Ram Hemi. At more than one car show, I had people ask why I put a Dodge engine in a Chevy. The 241 eventually became the A 318 used until 1968. I replaced the oil bath cleaner with an unsilenced paper cleaner and loved that WOOOMPH when I'd kick it down to low range.

To be fair, the pre-1955 Dodges DID look sort of like a Chevy. It said Cornet on the rear quarters but I replaced the old bias ply tires with radials and had to use newer wheels and wheel covers. I tried the originals with newer rims and they tended to fly off at speed. It didn't say anything anywhere else as to what it was. No Dodge or anything on the body. It said Dodge on the wheel covers, but they weren't on the car.

I had a 1956 Plymouth Savoy 4 door with the fins and had people ask what I did to that '57 Chevy to change it.

The car I towed home in the "What did you do with your 2nd gen" thread is a 55 Savoy and I had a guy on the way home ask if it was a Studebaker lol
