The 'flop down' centre cup holder on our 1999 Ram had broken. We got a new one from Amazon that fit really nice, but we see that it did not come with the dampening spring. We thought that we were supposed to use the old spring, but there is no way that we can get it in there, without pulling it apart. As this is where it broke initially, I am reluctant to do this. Anyone had experience with this or have the hinges been strengthened in the replacement ones?

 

Think I would just install it as is, and call it good......

 

I'm thinking that's what we'll do , just try not to let it drop when we open it ! Thanks!
