I have a computer ordered it will be coming in this week these are OE #s for 94&95 5.9 v8 with a manual trans 56027279 56027595 56028324 56028439 I told them what number I wanted and it was ordered as far as know all obd1 pcms look like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...uVNfs&usqp=CAU what has me uneasy is when they went to cross reference it I think this came back https://s.turbifycdn.com/aah/yhst-21...omputer-10.png. my question is did I f-up or is the parts house wrong dose any 2nd ram have any thing like that?

that is what I thought when you cross reference 56028324 on oriellys or the other three #s this is what comes up https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...56028324&pos=0 what are the odds that it is just a random picture and I get the right part another thing that I find strange is this these two replace 56028333 that is an OE number for a 12 valve with a manual trans but in the compadability section 5.9 v8 and diesel https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...ram-2500?pos=6 and this one here that replaces the same OE number says some ting even more strange it say that it fits 3.9 v6 and 5.9 v8 https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...ram-2500?pos=3 what is going on here who is in charge of the website I know for a fact that it is inposable for one pcm to work on more than one engine and the numbers all wrong

 

Don't trust the application charts..... There are some SERIOUS programming differences between 5.9 gas, and 5.9 diesel.....

 

yeah it would not even start most likely do you think I will get the right part and it is just the picture that is wrong or do you think the whole thing is botched

 

They tend to use 'generic' pictures for those..... (generally, they are even noted as "Not actual pic", or some such....) If it's already on its way, see what you find in the box when it gets there.

 

yeah it is on its way here it should be at the store in another 3 days I will open the box before I leave the store to make shore it is right

 

well I got the pcm today it is the right one yay! so my list of parts is getting smaller still need a clutch kit flywheel plugs plug wires new cap & rotor do the plenum plate shorty headers and maybe kegger mod I also plan on doing a rebuild before I do the swap.
