Torque for wheel hub axel nut
So I just got both new front locking nuts for my wheelhubs because the ones I have aren't locking and they keep coming loose and I've had to replace several wheel bearings. Well my husband did but now he's in jail and I did it myself last week with his help. Anyway I need to torque these axel nuts to 180ftlb and my wrench goes to 150 ft lb. Any suggestions on how I can safely do this?? Pls let me know!!

Have a chat with your local big name parts stores. They will likely have a torque wrench that will do the job, that you can rent. (and you get your money back when you return it, so, essentially, free.)

You can go the gudentite method. Hang your weight on the breaker bar and snug it tight.
However, they shouldn't be coming loose. The cotter pin should keep that from happening. I'm assuming this is a 4X4, although 2wd should have cotter keys too. Just smaller ones than a 4X4
