Earl Scheib operated a location in this area for many years, It was a great place to take a car for a 'budget' paint job for re-sale. Those were the days...

That truck looks nice. I went out the truck and sanded 6"x12" area in about a minute. That made the Hammerite smooth but not down to original paint. I'm going to sand the rest of the truck and make it somewhat smooth, tape it up and use Hammerite, they have a blue I like, or some type of raptor skin. 7-8 years ago I thought I could paint and money wasn't growing up on my bushes. Now is a different time and can afford a 10K paint job, but the truck stays out in the weather and dosen't get driven very often as I would like, and is used as a truck. I wouldn't like to scratch/dent an expensive paiunt job. That's why for 2K I'd be cool if it got scratched. I like doing body work but I don't like painting. Me and my Brother would joke about Earl Schibe all the time. The Maaco place I brought my truck to is a very good shop and so many positive reviews. The work I saw there was outstanding.
