Battery won’t charge 3 codes
As stated in the title my battery will not charge and I have three codesP0573, P1765, P1459. The problem seemed electrical so I checked and replaced my warn out and corroded alternator cables as well as the alternator as it had recently started whining. I have checked some of the fuses but not all as I don’t know which ones to check. I also get a check gauges light and my battery voltage meter on my dash drops to zero. 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9 magnum.
The voltage from the battery is over 12.3 while the truck is off and on. The bridge fuse looks fine I can figure out how to upload a picture if you would like to check for yourself. A new piece of info (I’m guessing is related to a transmission sensor having power problems) I seem to be locked in second or third gear.
Yep. Limp mode.
Since the engine actually runs, that means the ASD relay is doing it's job...... (engine won't run without it.....)
You have more than one issue.... I suspect the voltage regulator in the PCM has taken a dump..... which is why you see the same voltage, running, or not..... As for the trans, check fuse 1 (20 amp) in the PDC, that's where the trans gets it's 12 volt feed from.
The trans control relay gets it's power feed directly from the alternator though..... as does the leak detection pump. Make sure you have voltage at the back of the alternator as well...

For the PCM, it either works, or.... it doesn't..... there are so many failure modes, only way to diagnose is by process of elimination. If everything else tests good, PCM is all that's left.....
Larger black ones are indeed relays. Could try swapping the trans control relay, with the horn relay.... see if anything changes.

Go to your local auto parts store. If you can't drive the truck, have something with your VIN number on it. (they will need it to program the PCM to your truck.) They will likely have to order one in, so, it may be a day or three before you actually get it.... but, their price will likely be reasonable, and if there is a problem with it, you can speak with someone face to face...... When it comes in, I would cripple the truck to the parts store, swap 'em in the parking lot, to make sure the truck will at least run..... see if it sets any codes.
