How many miles do you have on your truck!
Yep,putting a little away each paycheck. With a little tlc well get there, lol even if the engine is wrapped in duck tape and Rope. As far as the transmission, well might lose a little funding there....
What things have you replaced so far? It'll give me some idea of what to look out for and what to except when I get near that kind of mileage.
I got a post on something I am trying to figure out now, title, My truck just dies sometimes. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...sometimes.html
Since I have had the truck I have replaced all the ball joints, both front seals, plugs, wires, rotor, dist cap, A/C compressor, transmission filter and fluid (put in a plug and drain and refilled 3 times), replaced the transmission check valve hose (I know I should have deleted), check plemum and it is clean, cleaned TB, cleaned IAC, cleaned MAP, cleaned TBS. The gas sending unit need replace, it act a little crazy until I get down to about half a tank. And that is just within the last year, I bought it with 159,000.

I will keep after it for awhile, the truck don't have any rust which is unusual for Kansas and I know this truck has always been in Kansas. Not a tear in the inside, all switches work, actually everything on the truck works. But the last month has been a number of pita. I don't want anything newer, but I would like to go back to something in the 70s. None of this electronic crap and easy to get to...... Oh yes and when the nuclear bombs hit, the EMP will not bother, my truck would just keep running. I just really liked my old 75 Blazer, roof come off top, even over the driver, they did that a couple of years, but wife was embarrassed of all the rust and it wouldn't fit in garage- too wide. I think what I really did wrong was after retiring, we sold the farm (and at an auction sold all my manly toys) and moved into town. Town folks don't like all that junk in the yard.

and it needs a lot of work , but I assumed that when i bought it.
