124,000 miles. trans went out about 2000 miles ago

 

124,000 as well, good trans still.

 

1996 Ram 1500, 92,518 miles so far. Purchased with 84,000, unknown maintenance history.

 

My '96 1500 has only gave me two reasons to cuss it. The paint came off of it at 90K, and the fuel pump at 100K. Other than that, it's a beast. It has never lived an easy life. I have exceeded the tow capacity on a regular basis, and I am still amazed it still lives. I maintain the hell out of it, and run synthetic oil, which I believe is key to a long life. I pulled the pan off of it last spring in order to install a new rear main, and you could have eaten outta it. checked the last crank bearing as I had to remove it to get to the seal, and noted zero wear. Installed a new high cap oil pump just fer grins. Thing runs like a scalded dog. Bought it new, and never regretted it. Not even buyers' remorse after the first payment.
I think it is too bad that folks are having all of the problems they are, with the new models. After looking at the forum, and talking to people who have newer trucks, I just as soon keep mine.

 

2001, 1500, With a 360. Tranny has been slippin pretty bad lately so it might be time too look into a new one, other then that it's only been an alternator gone out.

612000kms!

 

Got it a year ago and two days ago, with 167K on it. Just hit 172K driving back from up north this past Sunday.

 

147K, tranny just went out. Engine is good now that I did major work, expecting 300K out of it.
