Time to take legal action concerning cracked dashes
I love Dodge Ram Trucks. I had a 93', 98' and 2002. They drive great...look great...can't tear the engine up....but all three had cracked dashes within the first 3 years. The Dodge Dealers wanted $1600 to replace them. Didn't happen. Finally got tired of them and just traded the 2002 off for a Durango. Hopefully it won't crack.
Dodge truck salesman told me to buy a windshield cover for it. I told him there was just something wrong with paying $27,000 for a truck and then having to buy a piece of tin foil wrapped carboard and put it in the windshield every time I got out of it to keep the dash from falling apart. So I just got rid of it.

Well, you dont want your tin foil hat to get destroyed, I mean with the crappy lighting these trucks have, the reflection of other vehicles headlights give just enough light for you to see at night. If the hat gets destroyed, well, how can you see?
^^^^^Right there is the "safety concern" part!! Think about it, you know Im right.

Well then fix the thing. A whole new dash can be had, delivered to your door, for less than $250 from LMC Truck.
We need a sticky in the forum entitled "Dash Cracked? Read This Before Posting About It!". Just one article, with links to replacement dashes, covers, and so on, and an admonition to just STFU and deal with it. It's not a safety concern; it's a cosmetic defect. It sucks. It's a PITA to fix. But it's an old, used truck and every stinking little problem it has is the owner's problem. Fix it or don't, but STFU about it. If anyone owes you 5h17 because of your cracked dash, it's everyone who's ever been subjected to your whining about it who rightfully should give you 5h17 about it.

I wish every whiney ***** bitch baby would stop frickin crying that their 10-20yr old truck isn't brand farkin new. No **** it has some damn problems ya jackasses. That's why it didn't cost $35000. Grow a friggin sense of personal responsibility, spend a few bucks here and there, put some time and sweat into it, and have yourself a darn fine rig for a heck of a lot less money than the numbskull down the road who's paying interest every month for his brand new truck and wondering why he can't afford his mortgage and credit cards anymore. And most importantly, stop posting this crap here where I have to read the ****.
