do most of you guys have true duals, or single in dual out? just curious. and those you have the 1 in 2 out, how do you like the sound? flowmaster that is

 

do a search for "lets hear your ram" in the 2nd gen forum...there you will hear lots of dodges with 1 in 2 out flowmaster super 40's and they sound damn good

 

I don't know about the other guys but i have true duals.
I'm going for the most power i can get andfaster is better!!!

 

I veiw "True Dual" as being, either 2 cats and 2 mufflers, or no cats, dual pipes off headers and dual mufflers. Basically, for "true dual", i think that it has to have 2 seperate pipes all the way back, one for each, the left and the right banks.

 

thats what i figure to, but add a x pipe somewhere...

 

I have true duals on my truck. I used 2 high flow cats and 2 regular mufflers to try and stop some of the drone inside the cab. The power increase was noticable (but not huge)on mine and I also noticed smoother running engine.I couldn't really get the pipes run the way I wanted because of the gas tank so the mufflers just under the rear of the cab area. I am about a month away from installing headers, a dual flow high performance cat and a 2 in 2 out flowmaster 70 series. I'm not really looking for loud, just good performance. I will probably use 2" pipe from headers to cat and 2 1/4" from cat to muffler. Then will dump the exhaust just past the muffler pointed down and to the outside. I don't like paying for tips so I just keep the pipe hidden under the truck. I'm hoping that the 70 isn't too loud at least inside. I will put the muffler as far back as possible without going over the rear axle. This is my plan, but I am open to any suggestions on routing the exhaust. Don't know why, but have always really like side exiting in front of the rear tires. Jeff.
