so my buddy with a jeep has 35x14.50x15 thornbirds on his jeep. just so happens his jeep has the same axles and lug pattern as my truck, so our brains get to thinkin, lets trade wheels and tires. put my BFGs on his(looks like sh*t but rides 100% better) and put his thornturds on mine (looks AWESOME, but rides like T Total SH*T) 35 mph i got death wobble, 43 mph i got death wobble 49 mph i got death wobble. the shear size(width) and weight of these tires exceed the limits of the braking capability of my truck. it doesnt want to stop at all. the tires turn like crap, they bounce all over the place. every friggin groove in the road is like a land mine waiting for me. the grove goes to the right, so does my truck. im gettin my BFGs back tommorow, this sucks.
thanks for listenin to steves whine line, have a good day
Yes this is true, Thornbirds to blow...If you actually look at them you can see they suck and actually do look slupid. The big lugs on the side might look kinda cool and the middle of the tire sucks.
thornbirds look sick though. you think 35s are too much for your brakes?
the 35s i have now are just fine...these thornturds are twice as wide and a sh*t ton heavier, just harder to stop. ive got my BFGs back now and im happy again. they looked bad ***. the rims they were on were 15x12s and the tires stuck way the hell out and made the truck look mean. but im glad i didnt buy em.
