O2 sensor question

O2 sensor question
I have a 98 Ram (built in Sept of 97) that is coming up on 10 years old. I have the original o2 sensors on the puppy. Should I be looking at changing them based on age or do I wait until I get an idiot light on the dashboard? I have changed out all of the sensors on the throttle body when I put in a fastman TB last year. Would I see any improvements by just replacing them? I tried to do it myself, but I could not reach the connectors so I returned the sensors. I don't mind spending the bucks if it will make a difference in performance etc.

Heated (2nd generation) oxygen sensors on mid-1990s and newer vehicles Every 100,000 miles

So, [sm=massbounce.gif]would older O2 sensors be a performance advantage?

The sensor article says "The result can be a richer-than-normal air/fuel mixture ....."
So, [sm=massbounce.gif]would older O2 sensors be a performance advantage?
