Default Low beams

Just noticed tonight low beams dont work. The fog lights work when you switch from high to low but low beams dont come on.Didnt check bulbs yet but seems weird both would burn out together.Wondered if I should be looking for a fuse or something.HELP PLEASE!

Not breakin chops but, stick ur nose up against the headlight switch. If the switch is on it's way out, there will be an electrical/plastic burning scent. If there is no burning smell there, the next thing to sniff if the multi function switch. (Wiper/turn signal/high beam switch).

If there still is no burning smell, simply unbolt the two piece cowl that surrounds the steering column, direct behind the steering wheel. There are 2 screws up underneath the bottom half of the cowl. Remove the 2 pieces and make sure the wire harness, AND each connector pinis firmly plugged into the switch. Seems to be a lot of guys who use their tilt feature on the steering wheel are finding out that the harness needed another 1/4 inch or so of wire...lol.

I'm not saying that your problem, but it does happen quite often.

Dodge Rams have the worst setup. I still don't understand why they didn't relay the headlamps from day one. I added two relays to my Ram, and nowthe headlight switch will last forever. You've just removed at least 60% of the current that used to run thru that switch, as well as the multi switch. The big heat is now gone. That's what is bad about those Dodge switches. They come from they factory already near their rated capacity. That's f'ed up.

Good luck with your ride.

I have the same problem with my lights. Sometimes when I turn my lights on they will work just fine. When I turn the fog lights on then my low beams turn off. If I flash the brights on and off a couple of time the low beams will start working again. I've gone through all the wiring and the switches but can't find the exact cause. I think that I have a bad ground somewhere because when I take the low beam straight to ground it becomes a little bit brighter. Oh well I'm waiting for it to just stop working because it is kind of hard to find a problem that is only there sometimes.

I second what DieselDemon said about checking the wires on the multifunction switch. If the purple/white has pulled out of the connector all light will work except low beams.Happened to me
