Truck wont start again
I have had nothing but problems, first time it didnt start I changed the crankshaft position sensor and the truck started right up. Then i drove it 5 miles and the water pump was leaking( I knew i had to change it). SoI changed the water pump and then tried to start the truck and it sounded like it was off timing. So i checked the code and i got 12, 54, 55. So i went out and got a camshaft position sensor.. and i still get the same codes and the truck doesnt start. The timing still sounded off. So i took the distributor off and tried starting it and the rotor in the distributor didnt move. SO my next question did I mess anything up with timing or is my luck just going sour. Is there anything else i can try before i take everything out and change the timing chain. I changed the water pump, metal heater hose and it was a pain to replace the bypass hose so I took the ac compressor out and took a few more bolt alt bollts and moved the mount so i can get to the bypass hose. I changed that put everything back and truck doesnt start. Any one have any idea or any help. Its a 1994 dodge ram 1500 4wd 5.2l manual.
Thanks

It could be that you are having some bad luck. I just want to say you might need to check your fuel pump. It could have decided to crap out during this whole mess. I am only saying it because I just had to replace my fuel pump during a tune up. Tried starting it up and nothing. It would just crank and that was it. Just a thought............
zboban, this is a long shot but since your saying the rotor doesn't spin while cranking the engine. See if you can turn the rotor by hand. If so, I would check to see that the distributor is seated all the way down. Make sure you didn't loose your dist hold down braket. If that isn't it, thenpull the dist and see if the end of the shaft broke off. This is just an idea but watching American Hot Rod the other night, Boyd's rod died on the hwy. They determined there was no spark then pulled the dist. and the flat end of the shaft had busted off where it goes into thedrive gear.
