Transmission hesitant to shift
First off, this forum rocks! Ive spent about 2 hours reading threw all the interesting tips/tricks etc.
I just bought a 99 ram 1500 quad cab which Im in total love with. Truck came with many extra's and has 86,000 miles on its 5.9 magnum. Ive not had the truck for more than a week and the trans is starting to scare me. Sometimes the truck doesnt want to up shift gears and will remain in 2nd for about 30seconds longer than it should. I have to either raise the rpms or let of the gas for it to shift.
I checked the fluid and all is in good order. The truck doesnt do this all the time but seems to do it more when its cold outside. Searching the web, Ive noticed alot of issues with dodge transmissions and Im a bit worried. Im just wondering if the problem might be a simple electrical componant and if someone might shed some light on where I can start. Ido have a good warranty but really want to learn all I can about my pride and joy
