i got stock throttle body and i took the aircleaner off today to check and see how dirty it was, so i decided to look down into the TB and i seen the butterflys are like gunked up,,, they are like black... would this be bad? can it be the reason for lack of power... thanks for the help in advance

Probabaly in need of a good clean. Remove the TB from the intake, and clean it up good with carb/chock cleaner.

My TB looked like that when I bought it. Good idea to clean it like Silver_Dodge mentioned, but, I don't think it'll get you into "burnout" status. Worth a shot.

I can't burn mine either, I've done all the basic crap, plenum, tune up, timing chain, ect. Do every little thing that can help though.

All I haven't done is check the fuel presure and compression, which are doubt are going bad.

Yes ! any local parts store has it...Fel Pro Carburetor/Fuel Injection Mounting Gasket...

if youre looking for more power why not upgrade your throttle body to the fastman
