Maybe clogged cat?
Intake plennum gasket???

I have 99 ram 5.2 only mod being the hypertech, stock tires stock gears (3.55)
Ive raced a 4.7 durango and I won... I dont think the ram and the durango would be far off.

some of us get lucky and can gut the cat without the CE light coming on...my CE light came on when the cat completely clogged up. its a hit or miss thing. but if its rattling, its bad, go ahead and gut it and see if you get your power back, it needs to be replaced anyway

CAT, CAT, CAT!! I had the same issue with my 98 and once I had the CAT changed it was like a completely different truck! A plugged up CAT eats your power like you cannot believe, and our Dodge trucks are famous for it!
