Default Venom 400 control module ????

There is a guy selling the Venom 400 control module, in the classifieds section for a 98 5.2 (perfect for me) and i was wondering if its worth the money?? Does it give you any good performance or better towing?? any info would be great.

Thanks,
Jake

I wouldn't do it. It looks like it offsets your map signal for different throttle positions, but if it has no way of telling what your a/f is then howdoes it know how much to offset it by? It says you will lose 1-3 mpg. This tells me it will probably make you run rich, which isn't good for low- midrange power anyway. With a mostly stock motor, your probably areright where you need to be a/f wise anyway. If you want to play around with it you may be better off getting something like a arc-1 and a scanner or a/f gauge. This will let you set your a/f where it needs to be.
