14.7 1/4 mile?!?!
Went to the local drag strip to fool around seein how fast my truck does in a 1/4 well i ran the 1/4 3 times 2 of them were 14.7 and a 15.0... im impressed cause i dont have much done to my truck at all! just no cat.flowmaster exhaust, 180 thermo., headers. and K&N.... everything else is bone stock... i have to say im impressed with these dodges. it may of been wrong but i mean thats like 1.2 sec behind my dads 07 mustang GT. thought i would share....
PS: i didnt get a timeslip... i will try to the next time i go...

idk, your truck ran a 14.7 ? hmmm...I have a 5.9L. I had 265's on there at the time, took it to the track and ran a 16.1. Maybe if I had my mods on i woulda been in that area but that seems like a huge jump.. my buddy has a trans am that runs 14.4 and a truck is runnin 14.7? Idk But I guess maybe b/c u got 2wd its lighter, idk im rambling on..im tired lol, let me know tho
Maybe because ya'll are regular cabs. Idn its lighter i doubt my truck is gonna run something like that but he if you can thats pretty sweet. You should continue upgrading that thing i would reccomend the fastman throttle body and a different pcm accoarding to what i hear on these forums Silver_Dodge has a list of mods on his 5.2....... just rambling about making your truck faster..... lol

the 10 series delta force race mufflers. I making it a true dual with dumpoffs ($69.11 EACH muffler)
53mm custom throttle body ($219.00 w/ no core charge)
new fuel injectors ( still waiting for order estimate)
4.10 Motive gears (already have) ($100 from a friend)
Auburn Posi ($290.00)
Hypertech programmer ($300.00)
Harlan Sharp 1.7 roller rockers ($325.00)
Underdrive pulleys ($244.00)
Is that a good start? Im pretty sure its gonna be a ****load for labor... i will keep in touch to tell u how it is. im planning on getting it all here at once and puttn it all on. It will be a jump.....

Skip the Hypertech, and get a B&G flash instead, escpecially since your going with new injectors (I assume they are larger then stock). It's night and day over the Hypertech/Superchips style of hand held programmers.
you wont need injectors with that setup unless you are doing ported heads and a M1 intake and a bigger cam... Few different injectors were used but the most common was 23.4lb. Not matched sets so they usually have .3 - .4 ohms variance between them in a set of 8.
Matched injectors are prefereable when upgrading as they will have a lower spread in variance between each injector which can increase performance and improve idle. Matched set usually within .1 ohms.
so going with bigger injectors will be overkill...use that money elsewhere... (unless you go with a nice matched set)
I have a nice matched set of FMS Blue top 24lb injectors with 4 hole spray discs on my 360 with Hughes HD 2.02/ 1.62 Super Prepped ported and polished Heads, Hughes stage 1 Keg with extra material taken out of the runners for more flow and a decent cam with 1.7 harland sharps and the FMS injectors are perfect...
