Default Help me decide my next mod

Yea I am mod crazy. There's only so much more I can do as I don't go muddin except when deer and turkey hunting. Gotta get where them animals are ya know and I'm too lazy to walk. Besides it's more fun in the truck.

I've listed all of my mods on my cardomain page if ya want to take a look at what's already done. Let me know what you think I should do next. Thanks.

3,55's to 3.92's? Yikes not even worth it, unless you get them for free.

Here's my reasoning for the 3.92's over 4.11's.

I'm trying to buy the 3.92 rings and pinions from dsertdog56 for total shipped price of about $130.00.

By going to the 3.92's I do not have to swap out the front carrier.

I will need to buy some shims, differential fluid, gasket maker, and gear blue.
So my overall price from going from 3.55's to 3.92's is about $200 TOTAL. I'll do the labor myself.

If I went to 4.11's, I would probably spend $200 per set of gears, replace the front carrier, and still have the expenses of the 3.92's. My best guess is that I would spend over $600 to install 4.11's.

To me the 3.92's are not much different than the 4.11's but the cost out of my pocket is around $400. I could take that $400, add $100 and have the Firestone air suspension kit for when I pull my fifth wheel.

Can't beat the price on those gears. Your right it's not a whole lot of differance. It all depends on your tires size. IMO 3.92's would suit you well.

Sounds like I'll be getting the gears real soon so that's gonna be my first mod. Truck is in the shop right now having the tranny swapped out. Will get the truck back Thursday. The reason for the air suspension on the rear isthe 7800 lb 28ft fifth wheel camper I pull. The air suspension will keep it level when loaded.

Anybody have any recommendations forbody lifts for me?

Gears all the way ... price is right and you'll help yourself out when towing. Next ... suspension ... but only if you REALLY want to. I'd blow off the BL though ... not a big fan.

Before you buy the ride-rite take a look at these.

The weight capacity is the same if not better and you will save a load of cash. I am going to order some within the next couple of weeks. I know a couple of guys with them and they like them. Somebody else posted about them on this board also.
