Default Alternative to M1 intake manifold?

I know how everyone swears by their M1 intake manifolds on their rams. but has anyone tried this one?

or even this one:

or is there some major reason these won't work for our applications?

i believe the first one IS the M1 intake. the second one doesn't look any different except for the "air gap". Also i don't know that people "Swear by" their M1's, i've heard mixed reviews

the first one is the 4 barrel version of the M1 that comes with a adapter to make it 2 barrel, and the second one is the M1 intake...

lol, whooops...i feel like a jackass now.

2001mustang_gt...care to share a little more about the intake? anything special you need to do to make it work?

are there any reasons NOT to go with the 4-bbl converted one? heck of a lot cheaper...but i dont want to be stuck in a "you-get-what-you-pay-for" situation.

i tried the 4bbl but it was getting late and i couldnt get it adjusted how i needed it so i put the 2bbl back on....for the intake i recommend getting one for a 4 wheel drive because it has 2 vacum hook ups one in front and the other in the back...to use the vacum hook ups you will need the brass fittings from a mechanical water temp gauge(the med size, that goes into the intake) if anybody knows what size that is thats what you need..and i used some heater hose to connect the fittings to my brake booster and also for the cruise control and stuff like that....but all in all go for the 4bbl conversion one and if you got the extra $$$ i would do the timing chain, cam, lifters and pushrods, and rockers...for the simple fact your halfway there already and the extra 30 min of teardown will not kill you

as for the pulleys they are $100 shipped

Ok Im confused do you have to put a 2 bbl carb on them or can you mount your throttle body on these and just run it fuel injected same thing with the 4 bbl one do I have to use a carb or can I put my throttle body on it cause I am desperatly looking for major intake upgrade this stock one stops pulling at 4500 to 5000 rpm.
