hey for a wiring harness for a headunit (im lookin at autozones website) do i just buy one for 'chrysler'? they dont go into specific models and dont even have dodge. should chrysler work? thanx.

yes. i bought one last year at Best Buy, and it was labeled something like Chrysler, all models 1980-2006. It was $18. I also got the face plate adapter for Dodge Ram. another $18 but well worth it.

 

by factory wiring harness i assume you mean the harness that is attached back in teh dash to all the speakers.... yes thats still attached. (the thief just unplugged the hareness')

and dvaughan- is face plate adaptor the same thing as a dash kit?

yes. its a plastic plate thats a 1 din size to hold the radio, with the bolt holes that line up with where the factory unit bolted in.

 

yea i know what it does i just wasnt sure if they were the same thing. thats half way why i got screwd over last time with my previous headunit; i didnt have a dash kit so when the guy broke into my truck it just slipped right out. wont make that mistake again.
