Another stupid exahust question
I've done an exhaust before I am planning on doing one now. I have a 2001 1500 with the Cali emisions. Which means I have two cats and 4 o2 sensors. I was think all I would need to do is get two mufflers and put them on after the cats and then pipe them out the back. Is that all there is to it or is there something else I need to consider? Also has anyone already done this and have any pictures? What would be the best muffler to get that is cheap put still good?
I can't think of anything else. You'll probably wind up getting 2 single pipe cat-back systems. I looked at all the cat-back duals and none of them are for a dual cat system. They were all single in/dual out mufflers. Look at Jegs and Summit and if you have to (price?) ... JCWhitney.
Oh ... and don't forget an X or H pipe.
Oh ... and don't forget an X or H pipe.
it equalizes the pressures in the two pipes. It isn't nessecery but needed. It makes your exhaust sound better, flow better, and you won't get the crackling noise. Also you gain more horses with the h pipe or x pipe, and we all know that's what we are all after. So for the sake of all dodge owners install an h pipe..or x pipe..x would be better
