I have the LIl Wilson mag mount on the roof with one of those Radio Shack CB's. They work pretty good together, however I've never really "set up " my antenna, so it may be outta whack. I've never sey up a CB antenna ... is it difficult?

I ran the wire across the roof and into the back door behind the drivers door. I tucked the wire up pretty good. You can't really see it. I've thought about running the wire in at the top of the 3rd brake light. Have any of you tried that?

Got a pic? I thought about that, but the whole lid of my tool box opens up.

from Dave Fritz's great website at Virginia Tech:

http://dodgeram.org/ki4cy/ramradio/radio_mt.htm

for those that might be worried
Dave Fritz is safe after the shootings.
His office is in the building right next to Norris Hall.
He has been swamped with work after the shootings
keeping the computer networks up and running at VT
in the surge of activity. All are sad there with the deaths of so many friends.

theres so many different places to mount it. firesticks on the front bumper look awesome to me, but personally im doin a magnet on top for ease.... ive also seen brackets for less than ten bucks made specifically for sec gen rams that go on the hood...... firesticks on the rear bumper are popular but i dont like the look. personally id get the cheapest antenna i could then mount it the cheapest way to do that. haha.

thats why i havea free magnet antenna right now

I would love to mount some wilson antennas on the side mirrors like old school but the plastic mirrors dont allow for easy / neat looking mounting like the old mirrors with the metal arm. To this day I wish I would have never sold my Ranger RCI DX cb radio, that thing just screamed. Had her bumped up in wattage. There were days/ nights i could skip and talk to people in california and even south america using the upper and lower side bands.
