Default Aftermarket Fuel Rail Option

After all of the work I have done to improve the performance and looks of my engine, Iwas looking at my stock fuel rails and wondered what could be done about replacing them. I contacted extrudabodywww.extrudabody.comabout the issue. After several e-mail discussions about what I perceive as the solution to the asthetics, performance requirements, known issues with the current production rails, and ease of installation, we came upon what looks to be a pretty good solution.

Here are some of the particulars about the solution. The kit would be ready to bolt-on (as opposed to the universal sets the company usually sells). The system would likely replace the current crossover line with 2 90 degree AN fittings connected by braided stainless line to complete the show-quality looks and maximize flow. It might be possible to place this crossover link on the front of the engine bay instead of the back. The kit would be designed to attachto the existing fuel feed line instead of using the regularAN fittings for the feed line (that helps the buyer save time and money because they don't have to replace existing fuel lines).

The complete package would ultimately be priced in the $200 to $250 range, they won't know the exact figure until they figure out the mounting solution and whether they'd have to make some custom parts.

I'd like to receive from forum members if they would be interested in a setup like this along with any comments and questions they may have. I've attached two photo's in this post. The first photo shows what parts of the new fuel rail system would probably look like. The second is of my engine with the stock rails. Imagine how much better it would look with custom fuel rails. I would feel safer also with the elimination of the rubberhose between the rails.

I went out to aeromotives site and they do not make it for Dodge. They have Ford, Mitsubishi, Honda, GM LS2, and Subaru. Here's the link to their site showing their list of available products.

I would do something to make the exhaust manifolds look better way before the fuel rails!

Already did thanks to Edelbrock. Ceramic shorty headers. Not a very good photo but I replaced the stock manifolds with the Edelbrocks.

What are the issues with the stock rails? How would custom rails improve performance and/or fuel economy?

Thats a very good price if it happens. Aeromotive sells blank billet rails for 85 each. Have to get them machined. I would of ordered them but thought I could get them faster from KRC.The June 299 special. last summer cost me 480.(656Cdn shipped) Figured they had some and it would be faster, took Marty 3months to ship them. I ended up pulling my truck off the road because of ittaking so long[:@]
He only includes rails and mounting brakets, no fittings.

I dont know if you will be able to run the crossover up front. Very tight in there with the a/c, brackets and such. Billet rails wont flow more if you have a stock fuel pump and stock fuel lines

Stock fuel system is not a return setup.
