Not sure what a local shop would cost you to rebuild it like you want, but check this out:

I just had the Pure evil setup installed and am loving it. Ordered on Tuesday from Chicago, arrived in Minneapolis on Friday. Do you got a place that can do a swap?

Call Billy and tell him what you're looking for and what it's going in. He's the owner of the company.

So was everything $1995?
Do they hide any prices?

Did it feel like it hooked up better, or shifted better than the stock unit?

Here's a break down of my total bill:
$1,995.00 46re transmission including towmaster torque converter
195.60 24 quarts Redline transmission fluid. - My choice to purchase from him.
160.00Deep (4 extra quart ) Aluminum transmission pan.
N/CHeavy Duty Transmisison cooler
105.00 Freight Charge
350.00 Core Deposit

$2,805.60 Total cost.
540.00 Installation, misc hoses for cooler, cooling system flush
$3,345.60
- 350.00 Core refund
$2,995.60 Full installed price.

This was probably the best and cleanest purchase of anything I have ever made. Billy is actually a sitting member of the Raybestos advisory board and owns several patents for Chrysler transmissions. He really does know what he is talking about. Your freight charge will probably be higher due to the distance, but the cheapest is for you to pick up the tranny at the freight carrier dock. Saves you money that way.

My truck actually shifts a little harder than I expected it too. When I say harder I mean it snaps into that next gear. No more of that soft shift you're used to. I've almost 1000 miles on it in the past 10 days and not even a drop of tranny fluid.
