Default BRAKES!

i have a 94 ram 4x4 and just replaced the hub baring on the driver side. because of the barring failure the rotar ate away almost of mu pads and destroied my rotar. i was just wondering what the best pads for my money would be. i have been looking at the raybestous pads but would like some other options.

Buy a slotted rotor. Then you can install any kind of pads you want. I personally use carbon/metallic pads. I had carbon/kevlar pads a while back and they are an even better pad. About a 40-50,000 mile pad for me. They do however, slowly wear down the rotor as well. That's when I switched to the metallic style pad.

The trick to good brakes on Rams as old as ours is maintaining the caliper slide pins. Dodge by far had the worst caliper setup ever. A single large piston is the best for ultimate stopping power. The bushing and slide pin design though, are GARBAGE.

Slotted rotors, performance pads, new bushing/slide pin kit, and you're good to go.

Grease the calipers twice a year and you should have no problems. Bendix, Brembo, Wildwood, all are good brake part manufacturers.

Good luck with your ride.
