Default Rear Disc Swap

Has anyone looked into swapping late model rear discs onto say a '97?

Not looking for a kit. Just wondered if the rear disc setup off of a '02 Ram would bolt on a '97.

I thought maybe they are just a bolt-onupgrade to the 2nd gen rearend. It is doubtful, surely someone would have done it by now. Thanks for your input.

How are you using the truck? Are you pulling a large boat or trailer? If so, electric brakes would be MUCH cheaper, easier, and effective.

I mean, there is this article for a 2500 on PS:

Can I ask what you need the extra braking for? If you have a large trailer that you need pull frequently, chances are it has electric brakes on it and you'll just need to have your truck wired for it. I don't believe it's too expensive to get wired (well, I know not compared to this conversion).

Not towing anything. Just want the performance upgrade without throwing down $800-$900

Have you looked into upgrading your wheel cylinders? It's a MUCH cheaper upgrade that will produce a decent gain in stopping power.
