Default transmission ??

I have a 98 doge ram 1500 5.9 and I notice that my transmission maybe slipping. The problem seems to happen when I'm leaving the local coffee shop drive thru,I pull away, make a sharp turn and come to stop. When I go to pull away it feels like I'm in nutral.I wate a second or two and it feels like it goes into gear again. This only seems to happen when I leave this certain place. The truck has limitted slip rear end, could this be a cause or do you think my transmission is breaking down.
Also when I am giving her the gas sometimes the truck seems to hit a rev-limtter.Happens around 4500 rpms.As soon as I let off its fine.
Stange problems, hope some one has some advice.
