Default headlight problem!!! need help!!!

first off i have a 95 ram 2500 3/4 ton reg cab slt larimine 4x4 and i was driving home one night and my headlights went out on me! i had my driving lights on but the headlights just went out. i pulled over and checked all the fuses and relays and they were all good. i was puzzled. push the switch in and everything went off and pulled it back out and all i had were my driving lights. i have no headlights brights or dims. think it might just be the headlight switch? got any ideas?

could be the dimmer switch as well. I have had problems with mine on occasion but a quick pull on the dimmer switch has worked every time. I think its probably just dirty. Gonna scope it out when I put a billet steering wheel on in a month or two.

If you have a tilt wheel, try moving the wheel the up and down while the lights are on. If they go out when the wheel is down and back on when the wheel is up, your multifunction switch connector has a loose/broken wire. Easy fix if you know how to solder. This happened to me and I was going to replace the switch. When I got the column cover off found the broken wire. It would make contact with the wheel in the up postion but not when down. Jeff.
